Thomas Le Roux is a research fellow at the CNRS, and works in the Centre de recherches historiques (UMR 8585 EHESS/CNRS) and in particular in its team Groupe de recherches en histoire environnementale (Grhen). His research focuses on the impact of industrialization on the environment in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries: pollution, risks, accidents and health at work, transformation of landscapes, etc. His publications include: Le laboratoire des pollutions industrielles, Paris, 1770-1830, Paris, Albin Michel, 2011; Les paris de l’industrie, 1750-1920.
