Visual Mapping is a visual representation method blending the main visual thinking strategies and tools such as mind mapping, sketchnoting and drawing. This technique generates a visual summary of ideas that facilitates learning, understanding and communication.
Visual mapping also helps to foster exchanges and to bring out a collective intelligence while enhancing pupil/student motivation and attention.
Objectives
- Be able to create and draw a visual map in relation to a notion or a sequence ;
- Create a visual map in the classroom to assess together with pupils/students what has been achieved ;
- Use the visual map as a learning assessment tool ;
- Be able to teach pupils/students the basics of creating a group visual map.
